Punishment Park (1971) by Peter watkins. The film is in a Faux Documentary style that envisages a situation where a state of emergency has been issued using the Macarron Act in the late 60´s(a 60´s version of the partriot act). Left wing activists and anti war protesters are rounded up and face an emergency tribunal where they are given a choice 15 years in prison of "punishment park" where they are used as training fodder for Police and the National Guard. The film follows a documentary crew as they record the Authorites and their "fair" and "appropriate" actions in hunting the activists.<br /><br />When this film came out it almost sunk like trace, as it received very extreme reactions to it´s message, with some even stating that the film was literally an act of treason, adding that this situation "would never happen in this country".
